NOTES: 0.97 mile track. This was the 48th race event for CSR since starting in 2017. This was the 8th time this race event has been held. All 3 of our teams earned a score of 98 for their team presentation. Our 6th grade 555 team won both race heats and logged a total of 66 laps for a total of 64.02 miles and an overall event score of 99 out of 100. Our 7th grade 000 team also won both race heats, logging a total of 73 laps for a total of 70.81 miles and an overall event score of 97 out of 100. They also set a new middle school track record with 38 laps in heat 2. Our 8th grade 999 team finished 3rd in heat 1 and 8th in heat 2 after starting the heat 30 minutes late due to a few problems with the car.
This was 555's seventh consecutive first place overall finish at the Choccolocco Park Green Prix. This was the 8th consecutive time that 000 has placed 4th or better at this event. And 999's fourth place overall finish was their first time not placing first or second at this event.

NOTES: 0.97 mile track. This was the 48th race event for CSR since starting in 2017. This was the 8th time this race event has been held. All 3 of our teams earned a score of 98 for their team presentation. Our 6th grade 555 team won both race heats and logged a total of 66 laps for a total of 64.02 miles and an overall event score of 99 out of 100. Our 7th grade 000 team also won both race heats, logging a total of 73 laps for a total of 70.81 miles and an overall event score of 97 out of 100. They also set a new middle school track record with 38 laps in heat 2. Our 8th grade 999 team finished 3rd in heat 1 and 8th in heat 2 after starting the heat 30 minutes late due to a few problems with the car.

mid-season update...After 3 race events (of 9) so far this season...
We have had a fantastic first half of the season with great results from all 3 of our F24 teams! Our 6th grade 555 team is ranked 2nd nationally in the stock division. And in the modified division our 7th grade 000 team is ranked 1st in the nation, and our 8th grade 999 team is ranked 2nd in the nation. Great job Cougars! We now have 5 race events left in the season, finishing with the National Championship at Talladega Superspeedway on May 3, 2025. Let's go!

With the conclusion of the 24-25 season, our 000 F24 has completed 8 years of racing for Long Cane Middle School. In that time the 000 car has competed in 54 race events. At xx(39inMay24) of those 54 races, the 000 F24 has finished 3rd place overall or better. 000 has accumulated 1 National Championship in the modified division (2022), and they have 5 national runner-up titles (2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, 2024).

With the conclusion of the 23-24 season, our 999 F24 has completed 7 years of racing for Long Cane Middle School. In that time the 999 car has competed in 44 race events. At xx (42inMay24) of those 52 races, the 999 F24 has finished 3rd place overall or better, and 999 has finished 2nd or better at 40 of those. Wow!
999 has accumulated 4 National Championships in the modified division (2019, 2020, 2021, 2023).

With the conclusion of the 23-24 season, our 555 F24 has completed 5 years of racing for Long Cane Middle School. In that time the 555 car has competed in 39 race events. At xx(29inMay24) of those 31 races, the 555 F24 has finished 3rd place overall or better. 26 of those 31 were 2nd place or better, and 21 of those 31 were first place overall finishes. Wow!
555 has 1 National Championship in the stock division (2021).
